The Scholar

Gender politics, women in leadership, and career ecosystems — researched from the inside out.

My scholarly work lives at the intersection of political science, gender studies, and organizational behavior. I study how institutions are built, who gets to lead them, and what it actually takes to change them from within.

The questions I've
spent my career
asking.

My research begins with a deceptively simple question: why do some people get to lead institutions, and others don't? The answer is rarely about merit. It's almost always about systems — and systems can be changed.

Over 15 years I've conducted research across academic institutions, regional banks, international organizations, and policy bodies — studying gender politics, career development, and what it actually takes to build more equitable institutions.

That research doesn't stay in journals. It informs the way I coach, the way I consult, and the work I do leading career development efforts in organizations like the American Political Science Association.
