The Scholar
My research career has been informed by my playground approach, anchored in my curiosity and in my ability to transfer skills across subjects and discussions. From my early years as a junior economist working with stock exchanges to my time as a policy researcher on water and sanitation, I have gained countless lessons that I have applied to my work ever since.
Most of my academic research is focused on government and politics discussions about gender, policy preferences, and institutional leadership in Latin America.
The questions I have
worked on, the lens
I have applied since
My policy and academic research may cover various disciplines and subjects, but the underlying theme remains the same: the relationship between people, systems, and how we interact with the world around us as a result.
For over 15 years, I have done research across academic institutions, regional and international organizations, and even independently. But my research and writing has not just stayed in journals and media. It has also informed how I lead and work across institutions and industries as a thought partner, mentor, and entrepreneur.
Here, you will find some of the highlights of my research (in English and Spanish) in recent years, and you can find the full list of publications on Google Scholar.
