The Strategist
Our networks are an essential part of our journeys, but not the only one. The systems and institutions we interact with are fundamental, too. This is where my work as a strategist comes in: combining my skillset as a researcher, coach, facilitator, and creative to audit institutional structures, assess what is working and what needs to be done, and facilitate the discussions and work required to implement the next steps for far-reaching and sustainable change.

Beyond my mentoring work across industries and stages, some of my most impactful work has happened at the institutional and community level. From designing resources and programming to leading committees and trailblazing discussions that reach even those I have yet to meet directly.
The impact of my presence and my work is often not viral, but it is undeniable and long-lasting. These initiatives represent my contributions to communities and spaces when we are open to thinking systematically, imagining what is possible, and ensuring the kind of change that happens when we collaborate for a shared vision of what we want for ourselves and others.

Committee for Applied Careers
Chair · 2023–2026
During my tenure as a member, co-chair, and chair, I led the work to ensure the committee's status changed from ad hoc to permanent and to chart a long-term vision and work plan that expands institutional resources for career success for political scientists across industries. We also developed a series of programming pilots to meet demand for immediate needs, from hybrid Annual Meeting programming to facilitated faculty brown bags and year-round sessions to serve all members.

Data & Analytics Taskforce

At the time of joining the Board of Directors of Washington Improv Theater, we also formed the Data & Analytics Taskforce. This task force had as its mandate to work as a liaison between board members and staff to build the required data infrastructure and practices for strategic decision-making. Throughout these years, the taskforce successfully created and reviewed data collection systems for staff across development, education, and corporate training, provided insights for programming, and offered data solutions for specific staff needs.

Turning strategic thinking into

Recognizing the power of my experience and my work across industries and countries, I decided to embark on my biggest challenge and most ambitious move yet in early 2025: building my own path as a full-time entrepreneur through AGV Services LLC.
