Dr. Analia Gomez Vidal, C.P.C., is a bilingual multi-hyphenate professional. She founded AGV Services LLC, a coaching and consulting practice that empowers postgraduate professionals to build meaningful careers through coaching and community in the United States and globally. She is a US-based international professional with extensive experience navigating life across countries and coaching others through their career journeys. Throughout her journey as an international student and worker, she has successfully pivoted careers several times while working through the immigration system in the United States and holding various types of visas in that process. She has been a vocal advocate for bringing visibility to the experience of international students and workers throughout graduate programs and job searching and for addressing the needs of graduate students and alumni to design careers within and outside the academic space. Before founding her business, she accumulated 15 years of experience in research and consulting, working in academic, regional, and international organizations, such as the Ibero-American Federation of Stock Exchanges (FIAB), the Fulbright Commission, the Inter-American Development Bank, and Stanford University. As a mentor and coach, she serves several universities and professional associations. She is currently the Chair of the Career Diversity Committee of the American Political Science Association (APSA) through 2026. As a scholar, her academic research focuses primarily on gender politics in institutions and women in leadership, with work published in top-tier scholarly journals and policy publications. She is an affiliate of the Interdisciplinary Lab of Computational Social Sciences (iLCSS) at the University of Maryland College Park. Dr. Gomez Vidal is also an improv performer and creative writer actively involved in the local community. She has been a performer, volunteer, and facilitator for Washington Improv Theater (WIT) for almost a decade, with appearances and contributions featured in local and national media. She developed the first free workshops for English as a Second Language participants and has since joined the Board of Directors, where she is the founding Chair of the Data and Analytics Task Force, among other roles. She brings her perspective as a quantitative social scientist, improviser, and coach to understand and address the organization’s data needs. You can also catch her performing in local theaters with the DMV’s only all-Spanish improvised telenovela, Sabado Picante, or with Peahen. As a creative writer, she is a member of Tintas DC, a Latine writers group in the DMV area that fosters a communal space and amplifies the voices of local writers.
